X - @BuddhaBeings:'The Root Sequence: Seeing Without "I", "Me, "Mine" ☸️

According to the teachings of the Mulapariyaya Sutta from The Majjhima Nikaya scripture of The Pali Canon, The Buddha shows how suffering begins right at the root - in the way an untrained Mind turns simple act of Knowing into "I" and "mine."

An ordinary person perceives "earth as earth," then conceives about it as "mine,". Because this fact isn't fully comprehended, delight and clinging take hold.

A trainee learns a different response: directly knowing X as X - e.g. earth as earth, feeling as feeling, the seen as the seen - without conceiving about/in/from/as "mine".

This steady clarity allows true comprehension. The Arahant (and The Tathagata, and a Buddha) experience the same world, yet do not conceive in those ways at all; the fire of passion, aversion, and delusion is out, so nothing is claimed as "me" or "mine." The experiences remain; the appropriation is gone.

This is the Sutta's tender insight into "self": the problem isn't a permanent core hiding somewhere, but the habit of conceiving that overlays experience.

When labels loosen, things stand as they are; care flows without clinging. In daily life, let "just this" be just this. The heart grows light when the world is no longer squeezed into "I", "Me",  "mine." 🙏
